Are you always prescribing the same drive wheel configuration or perhaps you are not even really aware of what drive wheel configuration you are trialling with your client? This beginner level webinar is a webinar to better understand the different drive wheel configurations most commonly seen in power wheelchairs: Mid-wheel drive, front-wheel drive, and rear-wheel drive. We will take a deep dive into these drive wheel options to better understand why and when you might prescribe each one.
We will also look at how training for driving changes between each option. When the right drive wheel configuration is prescribed, we can see improvements in an end-user’s functional independence, participation, and quality of life.
Certificates of attendance will be emailed for anyone attending 80% or more of the webinar.
